Making a final decision for the perfect table bases for your restaurant can be more challenging than you may realize in the beginning, especially if you are going through this process for the first time. Even after you have made a decision on the type of table tops you want to have in your restaurant, how will you know which table bases should be used for each table? Why should you buy one table base style over the other? What material should the table bases be made of? How much should your table base weigh? What height should your table base be? These are only a few of the major questions that will need answers doing your search for restaurant table bases.

What Is Your Plan?

You can start the process by thoroughly inspecting your restaurant designing space and getting a better idea of what type of tables will be more appropriate for your restaurant. After you have an idea of what type of table bases you may need, you can determine what areas of your restaurant will be more suitable for the tables. Would rectangular, oval, or square tables be better in a specific area? Do you plan to use multiple tables in a row? Once you have a clear understanding of the type of tables that would work, you should plan for foot traffic and table flow. You will definitely want to avoid chairs brushing against the table bases or anything else. You want your customers and your servers to easily flow back and forth throughout the restaurant.

Finding The Perfect Fit

When you are searching for table tops for your restaurant, we want you to make sure you keep the design and theme of your restaurant in mind. It is important for you to remember that not all table bases will be suitable for every table top. If you have a circular-shaped or oval-shaped type table top and a table base that is thick, your restaurant guests may not have enough room under the table to move their legs. What if you choose a rectangular table top and an inadequate table base? A guest could lean on the table and cause everything to fall on the floor. You do not want your customers to be in either situation because neither will result in the desired dining experience.

There are many factors to consider when you need to choose a suitable table base for your chosen table tops. The type of table base you choose is vital to how much the support your table will receive. A round table base may be more suitable for a round table top and square tables can be supported by 3- or 4-pronged table bases. If the table is rectangular, it may be more appropriate support with end-bases or ADA bases. End and ADA table bases will provide more support because they have more than one prong nearer the end of the table, which will provide more support for the table. Cantilever table bases can be bracketed to your restaurant walls, but they may need additional pin leg support, or extra support on your wall.

Base Material

One of the most factors in table bases is the material they are made from. Table bases can be made from any type of material you can think of, including stainless steel, cast iron, and wood. Stainless steel can be one of the most widely used materials due to its strength and the ability to clean it with ease. The stainless steel that JI Bases uses is the 304 interior-grade.

However, the most popular style is the cast iron table base due to its weight and durability. Cast iron table bases are generally coated to prevent any scuffs and chipping to the texture. Cast iron table bases are often more durable and last longer than other table bases. The cast iron top plates (available on most JI Bases) will NEVER flex or bend. And if they break, we offer a lifetime guarantee and will gladly replace it.

You do not want the table bases you choose to result in any discomfort to your customers. You want your customers to enjoy your restaurant and the atmosphere. Whatever type of restaurant you have, you will want your customers to have a great experience. Are you ready to have the best table bases for your restaurant?
