The 4-prong table base design is the most popular table base in the restaurant industry. Our own Frank Jacobs launched the 4-prong cast iron base in 1958! These bases provide stability through four points of contact, as well as reliable performance and easy maintenance. The 4-Prong Family allows patrons to straddle—or sit on either side of the table base prongs, as opposed to resting their feet on the table base.

As with all JI Bases, the 3-Prong “B” Family has cast iron top plates that will not bend or flex. This style features wide prongs, providing a heavier base plate with a smaller footprint. As the base plate has 3 prongs, the table base will not wobble on an uneven surface as the tripod shape keeps the top parallel to the floor.
