Stainless Steel Bases

The only difference between the cast iron and Stainless Steel bases is that you assemble the Stainless Steel bases upright. It is also a little tricky in lining the column notches with the plates on the base plate and the top plate.  The notches in the column line up with the plates so that the column won't turn.
  1. Remove parts from packaging (Top Plate, Column with bolt, Base Plate)
  2. Insert the bolt through the base plate
  3. Set the base plate with the bolt head centered onto the assembly platform
  4. Place the column over the bolt, aligning the notches on column and base plate
  5. Mount the top plate on top of the bolt and column, again, aligning the notches
  6. Thread the locknut onto bolt and tighten with a wrench or socket
